THIRD ANNUAL APHASIA BOOTCAMP 2013 HARC and the University of Houston held our third annual Intensive Boot Camp for Aphasia in July 2013. Bootcamp offered 2 weeks of Intensive language practice for persons with aphasia and communication partner training for families under the direction of Dr. Lynn Maher, Dr. Amber Theissen, and Stephanie Schmadeke, MA CCC-SLP. 15 Participants with aphasia, along with 4 family dyads worked with Speech-Pathology graduate clinicians from the University of Houston during this program.

2013 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon HARC's volunteer appreciation luncheon was held in May. HARC extends a big "Thank You" to all of our volunteers. The luncheon included mexican cuisine, ice cream sundaes, and musical entertainment.
